The Gabby Petito Foundation is honored to make the announcement of a yearly scholarship opportunity for a student graduating from her hometown schools.
Bayport-Blue Point High School
The Gabby Petito Scholarship Fund was established in 2021 to honor Gabby Petito, a 2017 Bayport-Blue Point alumnus who tragically lost her life at the age of 22. Gabby's family conceived the award as a way of keeping her memory alive in the hearts and minds of all who knew and loved her during her life and those that grew to love her posthumously.
All through her life, Gabby always had a passion for art of all kinds, as an avid drawer and photographer herself. After graduating from Bayport-Blue Point High School, Gabby followed her heart and free spirit by taking to the road and traveling widely across the country until her untimely passing in the summer of 2021.
The Gabby Petito Scholarship's goal is to award a one-thousand-dollar ($1000) scholarship to a graduating senior pursuing a future in the visual or performing arts. The recipient will personify Gabby's youthful and free-spirited likeness and be chosen by the peers of the art program.
