Full Stop Australia is one of Australia's leading sexual, domestic and family violence support and advocacy

services, now in its 50th year. Proudly the first organisation in Australia specialising in sexual violence

response, an important focus that remains at the core of its work.

Support: providing 24/7, free and confidential trauma-specialist counselling to anyone in Australia impacted by

sexual, domestic and family violence, their loved ones and support professionals.

Advocacy: encouraging Australian governments, businesses, and communities to make changes to laws,

policies, and practices to better prevent and respond to sexual, domestic and family violence.

Education: offering best-practice training and professional services to support safe and respectful

communities, workplaces and educational settings.

Domestic and Intimate Partner Violence in Australia - Source

1 in 4 women and 1 in 14 men have experienced violence from an intimate partner since the age of 15.

(That is a combined estimate of 2.9 million Australian adults (or 11.2%).

23% (2.3 million) women and 14% (1.3 million) men have experienced emotional abuse by a current

or previous partner.

An estimated 2.8 million people aged 18 years and over (14%) experienced sexual violence (assault

and/or threat) since the age of 15. 2.2 million of whom are women.

1 in 9 women (11% or 1.1 million) have experienced sexual violence by a male intimate partner since

the age of 15

More than 1 in 3 girls and almost 1 in 5 boys experience Child Sexual Abuse.
