Safe Journey
Safe Journey has been providing services for survivors of domestic violence in rural Erie County since 1978. Thanks to the expertise and compassion of Safe Journey’s trained counselor advocates, thousands of individuals over the years have transformed from vulnerable victims to thriving survivors.

Ashley Bateman is a creative professional with a proven track record of successful projects, campaigns, and events from initial concept to completion. Ashley is the Director of Operations for Looped Solutions, a women-led tech company that innovates personal and critical connections to users' most valued networks.
Lori Palisin
Lori Palisin is the national award-winning Founder & CEO of PurpleOne and Executive Director of Safe Journey, a domestic violence services agency in Erie County, PA. With over 28 years of experience, Lori has dedicated her career to empowering victims and advocating for change in the field of domestic violence. She co-founded the PurpleOne Program, a national award-winning initiative focused on domestic violence awareness and bystander intervention.
Michelle Evans
Michelle Evans is the Co-founder & COO of PurpleOne and the Program Director for Safe Journey, a domestic and dating violence services program in Erie County, PA. With over 20 years of experience in shelter and counselor/advocacy services, Michelle has developed a deep expertise in victim empowerment and believes in the positive impact of informed bystander intervention in reducing domestic violence.
Jennifer Salzman
Jennifer Salzman is the founder and Executive Director of The Heights Ellis County Family Resources, a Family Justice Center dedicated to supporting victims of domestic abuse, violence, and sexual assault. Her passion for advocacy is deeply personal, shaped by her own family’s experiences with trauma and loss. She believes in the power of bringing resources together to better serve families in crisis.
